I've got a Dell XPS M1710 which I've had to replace the AC adapter 7 times in 3 years. Thank god for the warranty program... Still, I find that many AC adapters are suffering from major quality control issues. I would recommend to any people buying a replacement that they be very picky and do their research to make sure you're getting a reasonable product.
