Notebook Battery Fire at PC Pitstop.com

We intentionally created conditions in which the Li-ON battery pack would explode inside a generic portable. The results are dramatic. There are numerous conditions where these fires can occur in real life. Faulty battery packs (driving the recalls), faulty protection circuits inside the PC, exposure to excessive heat, and blunt force are some of the major ways that this could happen to you.

This video was truly eye-opening and informative. I was so shocked by what I saw that I called my wife to see it as well. I wish many other people were aware of the dangerous outcome that could result from their computer batteries becoming over-heated and explosive. All I could imagine is the great devastation that could result on an airplane, should some mishap like this occur. You did a wonderful job in providing this demonstration, it was definitely informative and it will cause me to be more careful about protecting my computer from taking such a turn of events, as far as is humanly possible. Thanks.
